How to buy foreclosure property

If you are on this page, you are likely looking for information on how to buy foreclosure property for one of two reasons:

  • You are an investor looking for a way to buy houses at prices lower than are being offered on the market or
  • You are looking for a house to live in but want it at the lowest possible price and heard this might be a good way to buy.
There is a lot of information out there on buying foreclosure property. I know of many seminars charging people thousands of dollars purporting to show them how to become millionaires by buying at the courthouse steps.

This is one of the methods for buying foreclosure properties, but you'll soon see that it is not the best. There are 3 different points in the foreclosure process when you can buy a home:
  1. Before the foreclosure process begins
  2. During the foreclosure
  3. After the foreclosure process at the courthouse steps.

Click on this link for more information on how to buy foreclosure homes at each of the points in the foreclosure process.
