Foreclosure Attorney
Receiving a Notice of Default from the lender's foreclosure attorney has got to be the scariest thing for a homeowner. A question that immediately comes to mind is: What can you do once it's gone this far?
You'd be surprised! There are all kinds of things you can do. You could renegotiate your loan; you could also refinance your loan with another bank; you could even get a forbearance to allow you enough time to get back on your feet or to sell the house.
These are all things you could do yourself by just calling the lender's (bank) Loan Loss Mitigation department and explaining your situation.
There are certain circumstances, however, when only an attorney would be able to help. If you feel that you have a unique situation which you need explained to a judge, then you might want to hire a lawyer to do that for you.
Another circumstance under which you may want to hire a lawyer is if you feel that your bank is unresponsive to your need or is needlessly stalling on your case.
Please keep in mind that we are not lawyers. Consider the information on this website foreclosure information, not legal advice. Please consult with a lawyer when confronted with legal issues.
In the future this page will list attorneys who'll be able to help you. You may want to sign up for the XML/RSS feed on the little orange box at the upper left hand corner which would keep you updated on any changes to this website.
